35 Mwph is a multi-channel audio work based on recordings from a power plant that serves London. Special microphones attached to the four speakers that play the work pick up the electricity used by the speakers during playback. This analog input is converted into data that informs the arrangement and complex recombination of the field recordings resulting in a feedback loop that doubles as a reminder to the energy consumption of the exhibition itself. In collaboration with Jeremy Keenan as part of Call & Response. First shown as part of Code of Contingency at The Agency Gallery in 2011.
